A History with no Amens
Father
I sail your way
on the unfolded sails
of this September moon
which long ago came looking for you
to replant your root
in a pine forest
Since then I've written
to you every day from
the circumference
of my enigmas
a ciphered letter containing
the status of my essences
and the shattered innocence
of my wanderings
I have not forgotten the lessons
you left stitched for me
on the needle of a scale
that has always
tipped heartside
Without armor or shield
I have waded through
the solitudes of
these merciless times
and the ravaged justice of
a history with no Amens
on the back of that old steed
that carried you to and fro
through scaffolds of sadness
Today, I leave for you
within an arabesque
of a time to come
the instances of
a sacred chant
still in need
of being recomposed
mery sananes
